Today marks the official release of OpenMouse, an open-source, cross-platform web-based software control panel. This innovative project is designed to tackle a common challenge faced by gamers: the necessity to install proprietary driver software from different manufacturers in order to customize button mappings, sensor settings, or MCU configurations. Leveraging the power of WebHID technology, OpenMouse enables users to effortlessly operate it across macOS, Linux, and Windows systems through a Chromium-based browser, eliminating the need for a locally installed client.
