On July 31, Unitree Robotics revealed in an updated prospectus that the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has added overseas-manufactured advanced robotic equipment and power inverters to its "List of Regulated Equipment and Services." The main humanoid robot models currently sold by Unitree Robotics—including the G1, H2, R1, and quadruped robots Go2, B2, and A2—have all secured FCC certification and fall under the category of advanced robotic equipment specified in the announcement. Consequently, the recent policy changes will not disrupt the sales of these products in the U.S. market. Nevertheless, any new robot models developed by the company in the future may be barred from entering the U.S. market if they fail to obtain specific exemptions or conditional approvals, and do not pass FCC certification.
