On July 29, Cheng Fubo, the Director of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC) under the State Council, held a meeting with Vimal Kapur, the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Honeywell, at the SASAC headquarters. During the meeting, both sides engaged in fruitful discussions on deepening collaboration between China’s central enterprises and Honeywell in key areas, including technological innovation, intelligent manufacturing, and green development.
Cheng Fubo extended a warm welcome to Vimal Kapur and his delegation. He emphasized that the development philosophies of both parties are highly compatible, indicating significant potential for future cooperation. Cheng expressed his hope that the two sides would build upon their existing achievements, capitalize on their respective strengths, and further enhance collaboration in technological innovation and enterprise management. He also proposed jointly exploring third-party markets to achieve mutual benefit and win-win outcomes.
Vimal Kapur provided an overview of Honeywell’s ongoing transformation and strategic business布局 (which translates to "layout" in English, but for clarity and fluency, we might say "strategic business direction"). He commended the remarkable progress made by state-owned enterprises under the guidance of SASAC, particularly in technological innovation, green and low-carbon transitions, and international operations. Kapur reiterated Honeywell’s commitment to deepening its presence in the Chinese market, increasing localized business innovation efforts, and strengthening partnerships with central enterprises.
