SoftBank Corp., the telecommunications subsidiary of SoftBank Group, has secured the preferred bidding rights for SP.LINKS, a Japanese payment service provider owned by Blackstone Group. Blackstone will sell its 80% stake, while the banking division of Sony Financial Group will sell the remaining 20%. Once the deal is completed, SP.LINKS will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of SoftBank.
