South Korea's largest trading company, POSCO International, has launched a blockchain-based pilot for tokenizing trade accounts receivable, aiming to accelerate commercial payments among its global subsidiaries. The company, which reported business revenue of $22.2 billion last year across sectors including steel, energy, and battery materials, is collaborating with LG Group's technology arm, LG CNS, to issue, transfer, and settle accounts receivable on the Layer-1 blockchain Injective (INJ), as disclosed to CoinDesk in a press briefing. The pilot utilizes actual accounts receivable generated from real trade transactions, rather than simulated data.
