Renowned Apple insider Mark Gurman revealed that Apple is planning a comprehensive upgrade of its Mac product lineup to capitalize on the AI boom driving demand for high-performance laptops and desktop computers. According to sources familiar with the matter, Apple plans to roll out new versions of all Mac products from this autumn through next year, including desktop updates and multiple laptop models. The development of the new iMac and entry-level MacBook Pro has been completed, with an expected autumn launch. Apple will also introduce entirely new high-end 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models equipped with touchscreens and OLED display technology. Research and development for subsequent models have already commenced, with the next-generation products featuring M7 Pro and M7 Max chips anticipated to launch between late 2027 and early 2028. Additionally, Apple plans to release an upgraded MacBook Air early next year and is developing an OLED version of the MacBook Air, which could debut as early as 2028.
