On July 1st, Peking University and Nakai Quantum (Beijing) Technology Co., Ltd. officially inaugurated the "Peking University-Nakai Quantum Computing Joint Laboratory" and commenced the "Peking University-Nakai Neutral Atom Quantum Computing Project." The joint laboratory will harness Peking University's extensive research expertise in areas such as quantum information, atomic physics, optoelectronic information, and computing systems, integrating multidisciplinary resources from the School of Electronics, the School of Physics, and the School of Information Science and Technology. Concurrently, by leveraging Nakai Quantum's engineering prowess and industrialization experience in neutral atom quantum computing, both entities will embark on in-depth research focusing on two primary areas: general-purpose neutral atom quantum computing and specialized supercold atom quantum computing. Prominent figures, including Yao Weihao, Director of the Ministry of Science and Technology Development at Peking University, and Feng Meiping, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Electronics, were present at the launch ceremony.
