CSPC Innovation has revealed that its majority-owned subsidiary, JY Biosciences, has successfully secured a spot for its injectable product, SYS6043, on the Breakthrough Therapy Designation list. This designation was granted by the Center for Drug Evaluation (CDE) under the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA). The drug is proposed for the treatment of platinum-resistant ovarian cancer, primary peritoneal cancer, and fallopian tube cancer. Clinical trial data indicates that, in comparison to current treatment methods, SYS6043 significantly enhances the progression-free survival period of patients by twofold, all the while upholding a commendable safety record. JY Biosciences has already commenced a Phase III confirmatory clinical trial for the drug and is concurrently pushing forward with research and development efforts aimed at other solid tumors.
