On June 22, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC) launched a specialized training course on quantum technology for central enterprises in Hefei, Anhui Province. Tan Zuojun, Deputy Director of the SASAC, underscored the importance of aligning closely with national strategies, focusing on creating an innovation ecosystem for quantum technology talent within central enterprises, and expediting the cultivation of leading experts in this cutting-edge field. He stressed the necessity of understanding the evolution trends of quantum technology, reshaping cognitive frameworks and foundational logic, charting customized development trajectories tailored to each enterprise’s unique characteristics, advancing quantum research and applications, and nurturing a collaborative environment conducive to talent development.
This training course marks the fifth installment in the SASAC’s 2026 initiative aimed at training urgently needed professionals in strategic emerging industries and future-oriented sectors, and it is the inaugural program specifically dedicated to future industry talent development. The course is being organized by China Telecom and has attracted 96 participants from 26 central enterprises.
