On June 23, 2026, a joint notification was issued by the General Office of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the General Office of the Ministry of Finance, and the General Office of the National Financial Regulatory Administration, outlining the organization and execution of the insurance compensation scheme for the inaugural batch of major technical equipment. This scheme's support framework encompasses all domains delineated in the Guidelines for the Promotion and Application of the Inaugural Batch of Major Technical Equipment (2024 Edition). Specifically, financial backing for complete equipment is typically allocated based on the quantity of units (or sets), whereas support for core systems and pivotal components is usually granted per batch. For comprehensive equipment like high-end industrial mother machines, which possess a relatively modest unit (or set) value, support may be extended on a batch basis. Conversely, for core systems and key components boasting significant individual worth, such as aircraft engines, financial assistance can be provided based on the number of units (or sets). The scheme adopts a two-step approach: 'qualification verification preceding fund application,' and offers subsidies covering up to 80% of the actual insurance premiums remitted by qualifying insured enterprises.
