On June 11, Jiangsu Lopal Tech Co., Ltd. made an announcement stating that its holding great-grandchild company, Lithium Source (Asia Pacific), intends to invest in and develop the 'Large-Scale Production Project for Cathode Materials in Power Batteries for New Energy Vehicles and Energy Storage Systems' in Indonesia. This will be carried out through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Lithium Source Indonesia (Batang). The total investment for this ambitious project is estimated at around US$160 million (equivalent to approximately RMB 1.088 billion). The plan includes the construction of a production line capable of manufacturing 120,000 metric tons per year of second- and third-generation lithium iron phosphate cathode materials. The anticipated construction period for the project is 12 months, with operations slated to commence in July 2026. However, the project still necessitates submission to the shareholders' meeting for thorough review and subsequent filing and approval by the relevant regulatory departments.
