Microsoft has, in a low-key manner, removed a blog post that was initially published on the Windows Learning Center back in April of this year. The original post had asserted that the majority of Windows 11 users have no need for third-party antivirus software, given that the Windows Security Center (Defender) already delivers sufficient security measures. Microsoft has not provided an explanation for this removal. However, industry analysts speculate that the reason might be the fact that security requirements differ from one individual to another, and such a stance could potentially undermine the interests of OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) as well as antivirus software providers.
