On April 19 local time, Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman stated in the 'Power On' newsletter that the launch timelines for two new Apple Mac products have been adjusted due to the global shortage of semiconductor memory supplies. The new Mac Studio, originally planned for a mid-year release, will be postponed to October and was set to feature the M5 Max and M5 Ultra chips. The first MacBook Pro with an OLED touchscreen is highly likely to be delayed until early 2027, and this product will be equipped with the M6 series chips and Dynamic Island functionality. The delays are primarily due to supply chain bottlenecks rather than R&D (research and development) progress.
