On April 1, reports revealed that as of March 29, the “Xiong’an-1” satellite was undergoing testing and debugging at the pilot production base of the Science and Technology Innovation Center in Xiong’an New Area. As the inaugural satellite produced in Xiong’an New Area, “Xiong’an-1” represents a significant milestone in the region’s aerospace information industry. The project was initiated in the first quarter of 2025, and after eight months of research and development, design, production, and testing, the satellite was successfully rolled off the production line on October 22 of the same year. The satellite has achieved three major technological breakthroughs: it is equipped with the “Baize” high-performance onboard computer, overcoming the bottleneck of satellite computing power; the “Chiyu” large-scale flexible solar array breaks through energy limitations; and the “Jinwu” new-generation Hall electric propulsion system innovatively uses argon as its propulsion power.
