On March 30, 2026, SpaceX verified that one of its satellites within the Starlink satellite internet constellation had encountered an anomaly and ceased communication while in orbit on the 29th. This particular satellite, identified by the designation '34343', was initially positioned in an orbit roughly 560 kilometers above the Earth's surface. Both SpaceX and the mission team are diligently probing into the root cause of this issue. They are also keeping a close watch on the satellite itself as well as any debris that can be tracked, all the while maintaining seamless coordination with NASA and the U.S. Space Force. According to the most recent analysis, this incident is not expected to introduce any fresh hazards to the International Space Station and the astronauts on board. Similarly, it poses no additional threats to the imminent Artemis 2 manned lunar orbit mission.
