The Microsoft Windows team has confirmed that they are developing a series of major improvements to the Windows search function, aiming to address issues such as slow search results, difficulties in searching for local files, and excessive web recommendations, in order to enhance the simplicity of the search experience and reduce distractions. These improvements are being led by Tali Roth, the head of Windows Shell products, who has responded multiple times to user queries on social media, promising that search will become simpler and more focused. At the same time, she emphasized that Microsoft is aware of the discrepancies between user expectations and Windows' performance in areas such as search, File Explorer, and system behavior.
