Solid oxide cells (SOCs) possess both power generation and energy storage capabilities, offering broad prospects in clean energy conversion and carbon resource utilization. However, under practical hydrocarbon fuel operating conditions, fuel electrodes often face issues such as carbon deposition, sulfur poisoning, and sluggish surface oxygen exchange kinetics, which affect the stable operation and engineering applications of the devices. Recently, the team led by Professor Gao Zhan from the School of Chemical Engineering and Technology at Xi'an Jiaotong University has proposed a strategy for constructing a three-dimensional oxygen exchange network driven by interfacial dipoles, achieving significant progress in the research of carbon- and sulfur-resistant fuel electrodes for solid oxide cells.
