On March 24, SHEIN signed an agreement with logistics giant DHL to further promote the use of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) in its air freight operations through DHL's GoGreen Plus service. Previously, on March 16, multiple flights fueled with SAF took off from Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport, marking the official launch of China's first full-process commercial demonstration project for SAF—the "Spark Project." Led by the Second Research Institute of the Civil Aviation Administration of China and China National Aviation Fuel Group, the project involves participation from enterprises such as SHEIN and airlines including Air China Cargo. It has established a complete commercial closed loop covering production, storage and transportation, fueling and combustion, sustainability certification, environmental rights accounting, and registration and cancellation. Leveraging the SAF Scope 3 Environmental Rights Registration and Cancellation Platform, the project has achieved certification and rights confirmation, cross-industry circulation, and value conversion of SAF environmental rights, providing a practical model for the large-scale development of SAF.
