On Thursday, the UK's energy regulatory body, the Office of Gas and Electricity Markets (Ofgem), declared that it had granted an electricity supply license to Tesla Energy Ventures Limited, a subsidiary of Tesla. This license empowers the company to provide electricity to both residential and commercial customers throughout the UK. Following several months of rigorous assessment, the authorization officially came into force on Wednesday. Ofgem underscored that this particular license is exclusively for electricity supply and does not encompass the electricity generation license currently held by Tesla Motors Limited.
