On March 5, Elon Musk's X platform announced a comprehensive upgrade to its 'Creator Subscription' service, introducing exclusive tweet threads, a new data dashboard, and shareable subscription cards, aiming to compete with platforms like TikTok and YouTube in the creator economy market. The exclusive tweet threads feature allows creators to monetize content directly within the X platform, eliminating the need for off-platform referrals. Subscribed content will be displayed directly in the account's homepage feed, enhancing exposure. Meanwhile, X has also launched shareable subscription cards and a new data dashboard to facilitate in-platform promotion and operational data tracking for creators. Additionally, the platform has introduced a built-in 'Paid Partnership' tag to help creators comply with advertising disclosure guidelines. To date, X has paid out over $45 million to creators, with the revenue pool set to double by 2026.
