According to a report from the Google Threat Intelligence Group, an iOS exploit toolkit named Coruna, capable of targeting iOS versions ranging from 13.0 to 17.2.1, has been identified. This toolkit encompasses five complete exploit chains and exploits 23 vulnerabilities. Initially crafted by a state-sponsored hacking team, the toolkit was subsequently leaked and harnessed by espionage organizations and cybercriminals to carry out attacks through malicious websites. These attacks resulted in the theft of sensitive information, such as cryptocurrency wallet mnemonics, impacting an estimated 42,000 devices. Apple has already taken measures to patch these vulnerabilities in iOS 18 and strongly advises users to update their systems without delay.
