On March 4 (local time), Google announced that it would reduce the in-app purchase commission in its app store to 20%, with developers required to pay an additional 5% fee if they use Google's payment system. Meanwhile, Google launched the 'Registered App Store Program' to enable users to install third-party app stores more conveniently. Google also stated in its company blog that it has reached a global settlement with Epic Games, and Epic Games will re-list Fortnite in the global Google Play Store.
