Recently, Beijing Galactic Energy Space Technology Co., Ltd. announced a new patent—'Docking Device, Docking System, and Docking Method for Rocket Stages.' This docking device consists of a guiding device and a bracket assembly. The guiding device includes a platform support, along with a camera assembly, control module, and drive module mounted on it. The control module detects the position of the docking device and the axial height information of the rocket stage through the camera assembly, while the bracket assembly adjusts the roll angle and axial height of the rocket stage. This device eliminates the need for fixed orbital motion, multiple orbit transfers, and manual attitude adjustments, enabling automatic attitude adjustment, improving docking efficiency and precision, and reducing labor intensity.
