In a recent episode of "Tech Talks," Wang Xingxing, the CEO of Unitree, shared his insights, stating that the current state of robotic technology is rapidly advancing to match the cognitive and motor skills of a 10-year-old child. He projected that widespread adoption of these advanced robots could be realized within the next 3 to 5 years, or at the very latest, within a decade.

Reflecting on the vibrant costumes adorned by Unitree's robots during their Yangko dance performance at last year's Spring Festival Gala, Wang Xingxing explained that the selection process was a collaborative effort with the directorial team, ensuring the attire perfectly complemented the visual spectacle of the show.

Earlier, the "stumbling" episode involving robots in the Spring Festival Gala's "Wu BOT" segment had generated considerable buzz. Addressing this, Wang Xingxing clarified that the incident was intentionally scripted, emphasizing that the robots' ability to recover from a fall was a deliberate nod to the artistic essence of drunken boxing, a traditional Chinese martial art.

Furthermore, Wang Xingxing took to Weibo to express his view that the pace of evolution for robots featured in the Spring Festival Gala is ultimately contingent upon the collective imagination and expectations surrounding artificial intelligence.
