According to a report from the Hong Kong-based South China Morning Post, COMAC (Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China) is poised to ramp up the production and delivery volume of its C919 narrow-body passenger aircraft in 2026, with a goal of delivering at least 28 units. Just three weeks into the new year, two C919 aircraft have already wrapped up final assembly and entered the delivery phase. If COMAC can maintain this current pace, it is projected to attain the capacity to produce one C919 aircraft every 10 to 15 days. Previously, hampered by supply chain disruptions, COMAC delivered only 15 C919 aircraft in 2025, a figure that fell well short of the initial target of 75 set at the start of that year. Nevertheless, with supply chain enhancements, especially the increased stability of engine supplies, COMAC is upbeat about its delivery prospects for 2026.
