According to sources and industry analysts, COMAC (Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China) is set to moderately ramp up the production and delivery rates of its C919 narrow - body passenger aircraft this year, aiming to deliver 28 or more units. In the first three weeks of this year alone, two C919 aircraft have already come off the production line.
Last year, COMAC was forced to scale down its delivery targets due to a host of challenges. The situation only started to show signs of improvement in the last quarter of 2025. Throughout the year, approximately 15 aircraft were delivered, with 8 of them being the result of accelerated production efforts in November and December.
Sources revealed that COMAC has had a seamless start to the new year, carrying forward the positive momentum from November of the previous year. Provided that the supply of Western - made engines remains consistent and reliable, the assembly and delivery speeds of the C919 are expected to witness a further uptick.
