Recently, Liangshan Prefecture has formally unveiled the 'Special Trial Policy of Liangshan Prefecture for Bolstering the Clustering and Development of the Commercial Space Industry'. This policy spans the entire industrial chain, with a keen focus on pivotal areas such as enterprise formation, research and development (R&D) innovation, the promotion of application scenarios, and the backing of industrial elements. With the Western Commercial Spaceport at its core, the policy is designed to foster integrated business models, including 'space + low-altitude economy', 'space + specialized agriculture', and 'space + cultural tourism'. It achieves this by crafting application scenarios and instituting a 'first-order, first-use, first-procurement' mechanism for commercial space technologies and products. The overarching aim is to catalyze significant advancements in industrial applications and cultivate a self-sustaining ecosystem where 'launches generate markets, markets fuel technology, and technology propels industry'. Additionally, the policy earmarks a dedicated fund of no less than 4 billion yuan to underpin the establishment of enterprises engaged in rocket and satellite development and applications.
