The Southern Marine Science and Engineering Guangdong Laboratory (Zhuhai), in collaboration with Sun Yat-sen University, has successfully launched the innovative intelligent truss aquaculture platform, named 'Zhuhai Qin', at the Veolia Shipyard. This milestone achievement represents a significant leap forward in the digital and intelligent transformation of China's deep-sea aquaculture equipment.

Spanning 110 meters in length and 40 meters in width, the platform is equipped with six independent net cages. Its design incorporates a semi-submersible frame structure, enabling it to brave the onslaught of a Category 15 typhoon and adapt seamlessly to the challenging sea conditions of the South China Sea.

The platform integrates a suite of advanced systems, paving the way for a fully modernized aquaculture process. This integration facilitates 'unmanned aquaculture and intelligent management', revolutionizing the way aquaculture is conducted.
