On the morning of the 31st, the domestically-produced C919 large aircraft, bearing the serial number B-658N, touched down at Changsha Huanghua International Airport, officially integrating into the fleet of China Southern Airlines' Hunan Branch. With this addition, Changsha has emerged as the fourth city in China to oversee C919 aircraft operations. Moreover, the C919 has now established dual-base operations between Guangzhou and Changsha, heralding a significant milestone in the large-scale deployment of domestically-produced large aircraft.

China Southern Airlines' Hunan Branch has outlined plans to introduce a second C919 aircraft prior to the 2026 Spring Festival travel rush, with the aim of further bolstering its operational footprint in Hunan. During the peak travel season of the Spring Festival, the C919 will be deployed on three key routes: Changsha to Guangzhou, Beijing, and Shanghai. Notably, there will be over three daily flights connecting Changsha and Beijing, offering travelers a wider array of choices for flying on domestically-produced aircraft models.
