At the 2025 Photovoltaic Industry Annual Conference, Gui Xiaoyang, Deputy Director of the New Energy and Renewable Energy Department at the National Energy Administration, highlighted that China's installed capacity for wind and photovoltaic power is projected to grow by roughly 200 million kilowatts each year over the next ten years, maintaining a notably high growth trajectory. He underscored the importance of not solely concentrating on the quantity of electricity generated by photovoltaic power but also placing a stronger emphasis on the timing, location, and overall value of the electricity produced. By embracing strategies such as multi-energy integration, coupling photovoltaic with energy storage, and implementing intelligent control systems, it is possible to bolster regulatory capabilities, fine-tune the output curve, increase the share of electricity generated during peak pricing periods, and ultimately enhance market influence.
