The proposed salary range for the position was between 8,500 and 10,000 yuan. However, the platform flagged the wage as exceeding the monthly average for similar roles and recommended adjusting it to below 8,000 yuan per month. The company explained that the higher pay scale was intended to attract both entry-level candidates and seasoned professionals. To address the issue, the firm submitted pay stubs for 10 employees from the past three months and eventually managed to publish the job listing. BOSS Zhipin’s customer service team clarified that the platform employs a wage verification system to ensure pay transparency and improve the job search experience. This system is activated if a company’s posted salary surpasses the industry norm. Once the company provides the necessary documentation and clears the review process, the job posting can proceed as usual.
