On December 5, 2025, at the 2025 Learning, Education, and Certificate Awarding Ceremony for Newly Elected Academicians held by the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Chen Yong, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Chief Engineer of COMAC (Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China, Ltd.), introduced that 174 C909 aircraft have been delivered, accounting for over 60% of China's domestic regional passenger jets. These aircraft are operating in 12 countries overseas and have safely transported over 30 million passengers.
