It has recruited Jennifer Newstead, who previously held the position of Chief Legal Officer at Meta. She is set to take on the dual roles of General Counsel and Senior Vice President at Apple.
Newstead boasts an impressive legal pedigree. Her professional journey includes a stint as the Legal Adviser to the U.S. Department of State. In January 2026, she will officially join Apple in the capacity of Senior Vice President. During this period, she will report directly to Apple's CEO, Tim Cook. Then, on March 1, 2026, she will formally step into the role of General Counsel, playing a crucial part in steering Apple's legal affairs.
