On November 29, Business Insider broke the news that robotics startup Sunday Robotics stepped out of stealth mode the previous week, unveiling a team roster populated with several ex-Tesla staff members. According to LinkedIn data, the firm has successfully poached no fewer than 10 former Tesla employees. Among these recruits are several senior personnel who were actively involved in the research and development of Tesla's humanoid robots as well as autonomous driving initiatives. Take Perry Jia, for instance. He spent nearly six years at Tesla, where he spearheaded the data engine project. Now, he has joined Sunday Robotics to take charge of data operations. Sunday Robotics, co-established by Zihao Zhao and Cheng Chi, both Ph.D. students at Stanford, has its headquarters in Mountain View, USA. On November 19, the company rolled out the household robot Memo and has already secured $35 million in funding.
