The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has released an official notice outlining plans to launch and implement commercial trials for satellite IoT services. By harnessing the power of satellite communication technology, these services are designed to offer low-speed yet extensive IoT data connectivity. They cater to a wide array of devices, including data acquisition terminals, wearable gadgets, handheld terminals, as well as vehicles, ships, and aircraft. Enterprises seeking to participate in these commercial trials are mandated to set up a comprehensive satellite IoT system. This system should encompass a Business Support System (BSS), an Operations Support System (OSS), and a Management Support System (MSS), ensuring that they can legally and efficiently carry out related operations across the entire nation.
