On November 24 (local time), the U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) released a communiqué announcing that it, along with Boeing, had reached an agreement to modify the Commercial Crew Transportation Contract. This modification entails cutting down the number of missions for the 'Starliner' spacecraft to the International Space Station from six to four.

The initial contract, inked by both parties in 2014, stipulated up to six manned flights. Following a thorough evaluation, the number of missions has now been revised. The upcoming 'Starliner - 1' mission will be uncrewed. Its primary objectives are to deliver supplies to the space station and validate system upgrades. The earliest possible time for this mission to take place is scheduled for April 2026.
