Recently, the research team of Professor Zheng Yuanlin and Chen Xianfeng from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, along with Associate Professor Li Yuanhua from Shanghai University of Electric Power, has made significant progress in the field of quantum communication technology. They have innovatively proposed and implemented a new paradigm for constructing fully connected quantum communication networks based on the active time-wavelength multiplexing method. Utilizing a new scheme and efficient chirped polarization thin-film lithium niobate photonic chips, the team has, for the first time, achieved quantum fusion of two independent networks, forming a fully connected topological structure quantum communication network, laying an important foundation for the construction of future quantum internet.
