At the 2025 Shenzhen International Nuclear Energy Industry Innovation Expo, China General Nuclear Power Group (CGN) made its debut presentation of the newly upgraded digital instrumentation and control system for nuclear power plants. Sun Yongbin, Chairman of CGN Digital Technology Co., Ltd., highlighted that the new-generation nuclear safety-level digital instrumentation and control system can be likened to outfitting nuclear power plants with a highly intelligent, 100% domestically manufactured 'brain.' Both its hardware components, such as chips, and software elements, including the operating system, embedded software, and communication software, have been developed entirely in-house, marking the realization of a Chinese-made digital 'brain.'
