As per the information displayed on the Hong Kong Insurance Authority's official website, Jingda HK Trading Co., Limited—a subsidiary of JD.com that has now been rebranded as 'JD.com Insurance Advisory (Hong Kong) Co., Limited'—has successfully obtained an insurance brokerage license. This license encompasses both general and long-term insurance businesses, including linked long-term insurance products. It remains valid until October 13, 2028. Prior to this achievement, JD.com had proactively posted job vacancies on various recruitment platforms for its Hong Kong insurance division. These positions ranged from the head of compliance to roles focused on promoting insurance sales, all in anticipation of assembling a robust insurance team.
