The Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization has unveiled the "Action Plan for the High-Quality Development of Shanghai's Smart Terminal Industry (2026-2027)." This plan aims to enhance robotic terminal capabilities, encompassing the development of humanoid robotic products and achieving industrialization breakthroughs in pivotal components such as edge chips. It also advocates for fostering synergy between complete industrial robots and their constituent parts to bridge any existing gaps in the industrial chain. Moreover, the plan seeks to accelerate the integration of robotic terminal products into the consumer market by introducing consumer-oriented robotic offerings, including companion robots and domestic robots.
