Xiangtan Electrochemical has announced that its majority-owned subsidiary, Guangxi Lijing New Materials, is currently engaged in collaborative research and development with several solid-state battery companies. The focus of this partnership is on exploring and advancing the application of lithium manganate within the realm of semi-solid and solid-state batteries. Significant strides have already been achieved, and there is a strong expectation that a major breakthrough will materialize by the end of 2026 or the start of 2027. Additionally, the company holds ownership of one manganese mine in Xiangtan, Hunan Province, and another in Jingxi, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, while actively pursuing the acquisition of other high-grade mineral resources.
