Today marks the completion of the i-Space Launch Vehicle Assembly, Integration, and Reuse Factory Project (Phase I) at the Wenchang International Aerospace City in Hainan Province. This landmark initiative represents China's inaugural comprehensive endeavor focused on the holistic assembly, rigorous testing, and sustainable reuse of launch vehicles. Spanning a total construction area of 28,800 square meters, the factory's main structure adheres to stringent standards for typhoon resilience, ensuring its capacity to withstand formidable typhoon conditions. In the fourth quarter of this year, the factory is poised to welcome its inaugural Hyperbola-3 reusable launch vehicle for assembly and integration testing. Anticipated to conduct extensive ground tests, including launch site rehearsals, towards the end of the year, this facility will pave the way for the groundbreaking 'first orbital flight + maritime recovery' mission.
