The United States has set its sights on a return to the Moon in 2027, and this lunar expedition comes with a host of novel technical prerequisites, one of which is device networking. To meet this challenge, NASA is diligently working on establishing a lunar Wi-Fi network. Solstar Space, a key player in this endeavor, has announced that it has secured $150,000 in funding from Phase I of NASA's Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program. This financial boost is earmarked for the development of a cutting-edge generation of lunar Wi-Fi access points (APs), designed to facilitate seamless communication for astronauts and their equipment on the lunar surface.
