Professor Zou Changling, a member of Academician Guo Guangcan's research team at the University of Science and Technology of China, has collaborated with Professor Sun Luyan from the Institute for Interdisciplinary Information Sciences at Tsinghua University, along with Professor Mourad Oudich and Professor Yun Jing from Pennsylvania State University. Together, they have made remarkable strides in the realms of topological phononics and integrated phononic circuits. The research group has, for the inaugural time, realized topological phononic edge states and achieved robust Thouless pumping at a frequency of 1.5 GHz within non-suspended, highly scalable on-chip micron-scale waveguides. Furthermore, they have successfully developed an electrically adjustable topological phononic Mach-Zehnder interferometer acoustic switch and modulator.
