On September 19, the 2025 Suining International Lithium Battery Industry Conference took place. Wu Guogang, a second-tier inspector at the Electronic Information Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, announced that the ministry is set to bolster safety protocols to foster the robust growth of the lithium battery sector. Concrete actions will encompass reinforcing the enforcement of pertinent lithium battery standards, elevating safety standards across production, utilization, and disposal phases, instituting a technical framework for the safety classification and assessment of lithium battery products, alongside a recommended catalog for energy storage battery products. Moreover, there will be a sustained focus on quality supervision and inspections, coupled with intensified efforts to penalize non-compliant enterprises, all aimed at enhancing the performance and quality of lithium battery products.
