This particular business venture, which was launched in 2021, once saw a boom, reaching a zenith with 1,500 stores at its peak. Moreover, by the end of August, all Hema X Membership Stores had shut their doors. Hema has made it clear that its future development will center around the "Hema Fresh + NB" business model. The company has set ambitious plans to open close to 100 Hema Fresh stores within this fiscal year. By doing so, it aims to expand its reach to over 50 cities, and in the process, increase the total number of stores to surpass 500.
