Mozilla initially released Firefox 115 two years ago, marking it as the final supported version for Windows 7, 8, 8.1, and several macOS versions. A year after that announcement, Mozilla demonstrated its commitment to users by extending support for older Windows versions through additional security updates for Firefox 115 ESR. Since then, Mozilla has twice postponed the end-of-support date and has now made yet another decision to prolong this support. Consequently, support for Firefox 115 ESR on outdated Windows and macOS versions has been extended until September 2025, accommodating those still reliant on these operating systems.
