Recently, a wave of online complaints has surfaced, alleging that Baidu Map has integrated advertisements into the ride-hailing process and strategically concealed the close button. Screenshots circulated by netizens reveal that upon requesting a ride through Baidu Map, an advertisement appears at the bottom of the relevant interface, devoid of any immediately visible means to dismiss it. In reality, the close button is tucked away in the top right corner of the screen and is dark gray, rendering it easily overlooked. Baidu has since responded, stating that the screenshots in the reports do not reflect the current online experience and that a prominent close button is indeed present.
