Microsoft has recently rolled out a preview update for Windows 11, introducing streamlined keyboard shortcuts in builds 26200.5761 of the Dev Channel and 26120.5770 of the Beta Channel for version 25H2. Users can now effortlessly insert an en dash using the combination Win + hyphen (-) and an em dash with Win + Shift + hyphen (-). This enhancement greatly facilitates the input of these symbols on Windows 11, particularly beneficial for users who previously relied on intricate key combinations such as Alt + 0151 for em dashes, thereby significantly boosting productivity. However, it's crucial to note that if the Magnifier feature is active, pressing Win + hyphen will activate the zoom function rather than inserting an en dash.
