As of October 1, paper train tickets will become a relic of the past. The railway department has announced that paper reimbursement vouchers will be fully phased out by the end of September 30, to be replaced by electronic invoices. In recent times, many netizens have been sharing photos of their paper train tickets as nostalgic mementos. Last November, China's railway passenger transport initiated a push towards fully digital electronic invoices, with a transitional period scheduled to conclude on September 30 of this year. During this interim period, both paper and electronic invoices were accepted, but with the transition period drawing to a close, paper train tickets will officially retire from service.
